Birth Pool Hire

I am so excited to support you in preparing for your birth. Please read this document carefully before signing or accepting it, as it outlines the terms, expectations, and responsibilities involved in hiring a birth pool from The Birth Haus.

By signing or accepting this agreement (including electronically), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined below. It is important that you make an informed decision about whether this hire is right for you. Please contact me prior to proceeding if you have any questions or concerns.

The intention of this agreement is to ensure clarity, safety, and respectful use of the birth pool throughout your hire period.


Purpose of Hire:
The birth pool is provided to support comfort, relaxation, and physiological labour and birth. While water immersion is widely used during labour and birth, the hire of this pool does not replace medical care, clinical judgment, or professional guidance from your chosen care provider.


Hire Period:
The birth pool hire period runs from 38 weeks gestation until 42 weeks gestation or once your baby is born, whichever comes first.

If your baby arrives prior to 38 weeks, please notify me as soon as possible so alternative arrangements can be discussed where feasible.

Fees:

  • Birth Pool Hire: $150

  • Delivery: $15

  • Pick-up (if required): $15

Payment is required prior to delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Invoice will be set seperate via Hnry, and needs to be payed before drop off or collection of birth pool.

What’s Included in Your Hire:
Your hire includes the following items:

  • Birth pool

  • Single-use birth pool liner

  • Electric air pump

  • Submersible water pump

  • Thermometer

All items but the single-use pool liner remain the property of The Birth Haus and must be returned in good condition.

Items You Are Required to Supply:
You are responsible for purchasing or supplying the following items:

  • Clean water hose (food-grade recommended)

  • Tap attachment suitable for your tap

  • Debris net or strainer

  • Fairy lights (optional)

Care, Use & Responsibility:
By hiring this pool, you agree to:

  • Use the pool only for its intended purpose

  • Always use a liner when filling or using the pool

  • Take reasonable care of the pool and accessories during the hire period

  • Ensure the pool is set up on a stable, appropriate surface

You accept responsibility for the pool and all included equipment from the time it is delivered until it is collected or returned.

Cleaning & Pack-Up Requirements:
Before storing the pool for return, the following steps must be completed:

  1. Wipe the pool with a cloth soaked in warm, soapy water.
    While cleaning, check for leaks by watching for air bubbles.

  2. Rinse off all soap by wiping with a clean, wet cloth.

  3. Soak a cloth in cleaning solution and wipe the pool over again.

  4. Leave the pool to dry completely before packing away.

If you discover any damage or a leak, please contact Courtney from The Birth Haus as soon as possible.

Damage, Loss & Liability:
You are responsible for any loss or damage to the pool or accessories beyond reasonable wear and tear during the hire period.

If damage to the pool is identified upon return, a damage fee of up to $100 will be charged to cover assessment, repair, or replacement costs.

If items are returned excessively soiled or missing, additional cleaning, repair, or replacement fees may apply.

The Birth Haus accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the birth pool. Use of the pool is at your own discretion and responsibility.

Electronic Signing:
This agreement may be signed electronically. Any electronic signature, typed name, or digital acceptance shall be considered legally valid and binding, as if signed in physical form.
